LINN, Mo. -- Dollar General celebrated the grand opening of its relocated Linn store on Saturday.
The newly constructed store at 1302 E. Main St., which opened May 10, replaces the one at 1014 E. Main St. that opened in 2001.
"It's going to be the same value and convenience that everyone there is going to know us for," said Dollar General spokeswoman Crystal Ghassemi.
The new location adds about 2,000 square feet to the store's sales floor.
"So when customers come in, they're going to be able to see some new merchandise," Ghassemi said. "We'll have additional cooler space, which will allow for additional perishable items, as well."
The new store features an updated layout, with seasonal products featured in the center of the store and easy navigation with clear signage for departments, according to a Dollar General news release.
During Saturday's grand opening, customers enjoyed prizes including special sales, gift cards and other giveaways.
