ST. ELIZABETH, Mo. — The Linn Wildcats scored six runs in the eighth inning Wednesday to beat St. Elizabeth 8-3.
The Wildcats tied the game at 2 with a run in the seventh. Linn added six in the eighth and the Hornets could only get one in the bottom half.
Wyatt Stiles led the Hornets by going 3-for-4 with a double and an RBI.
Dakota Kemna finished with a no decision on the mound for the Hornets, allowing one run on four hits and three walks while striking out one in 52/3 innings.
St. Elizabeth (2-7) hosts South Callaway at 5 p.m. today.
Linn hosts Dixon on Friday.
