College Golf: Lammers takes 14th at regional

ALLENDALE, Mich. — Following a 5-over 76 on Wednesday in the Division II Central/Midwest Super Regional, Blake Lammers of Lincoln finished tied for 14th, missing the chance to play in the NCAA Championships by four strokes.

Lammers entered the round tied for 36th and fifth among individuals, but jumped up 22 spots overall and ending up fourth among individuals with his third-round performance.

Lammers finished with a three-round score of 226. Talon Supak of Illinois-Springfield (218) and Keenai Sampson of McKendree (222) advanced as individuals to the NCAA Championships on May 17-21 at Green Valley Ranch in Denver, Colo.

Central Missouri (900) edged out Southeastern Oklahoma State (901) by one stroke to win the regional title.

Bellarmine (908), Tiffin (912) and Central Oklahoma (913) will join those two teams at the NCAA Championships.
