Boys District Golf: Falcons finish third

HARTSBURG — The Blair Oaks Falcons finished third Monday in the Class 2 District 4 Golf Tournament at Eagle Knoll.

Blair Oaks finished with a 354.

Tanner Elder of Blair Oaks was second as an individual, shooting a 71. Jake VanRonzelen of the Falcons was in a tie for 13th with a 90, while Kyle Backes of Blair Oaks tied for 16th with a 93.

Those three will advance as individuals to next Monday’s sectional tournament at Redfield.

Braydon Pemberton of Blair Oaks tied for 27th with a 100, while Sam Prenger was 35th at 107.

Hermann claimed team honors Monday, carding a 333. Father Tolton was second at 335. Those two will advance to the sectional as teams.

Jack Parker of Father Tolton was the medalist with a 70. Walker Kesterson of Southern Boone was third with a 74.

Fatima, which carded a 367 to finish fifth as a team, had three players advance to sectionals.

Austin Eisterhold tied for sixth with an 84, while Kyle Hudsepth tied for 13th with a 90 and Carson Kramer tied for 16th with a 93.

South Callaway, which was seventh at 410, had two players advance. Logan Taylor tied for 11th with an 88, while Blake Parker was 21st with a 95.

Also advancing to sectionals for Southern Boone were Tanner Sherman and Brayden Watts (93s, both tied for 16th) and Jakob Warren (96, tied for 22nd).

Other area individuals advancing to the sectional were Travis Reger of Versailles (88, tied for 11th), and Cameron Lauf of Eugene (91, 15th).
