Osage County Sheriff Michael Dixon is due back in Boone County Associate Circuit Court June 7 for a status hearing on a felony weapons charge filed last month.
Dixon was charged with pointing a weapon at another person on March 5, in a Hartsburg bar.
Through attorney Grant Boyd, Clayton, Dixon waived formal arraignment on the charge this afternoon and pleaded not guilty.
