BURLINGTON, Iowa — The Jefferson City Lady Jays finished in a tie at 1 with Lemont (Ill.) at the Tournament of Champions.
After a scoreless first half, Jefferson City took the lead about 12 minutes into the second on a goal by Mackenzie Lochhead. Kenzie Gourley got an assist on the score. Lemont then tied it about eight minutes later.
The game was shortened to 30-minute halves due to rain in the area. Jefferson City’s second game Saturday was called off.
Jefferson City (14-3-1) will host Rolla on Monday. The JV game will start at 5 p.m., with the varsity contest to follow around 6:30 p.m.
