Falcons split pair of baseball games

MOKANE, Mo. — The Blair Oaks baseball team split a pair of games Saturday, losing 4-3 to South Callaway before beating Wellsville 14-2.

In the first game, Jason Rackers took the loss, allowing four runs, two earned in six innings with six strikeouts and three walks.

Adam Schell had a hit, and RBI and a run. Thomas Verslues was 2-for-4 with a run scored, and Jordan Hair had a hit and a run.

Against Wellsville, Trevor Woehr got the win, allowing four runs on two hits in five innings, striking out four.

Garrett Welschmeyer was 3-for-4 with a homer, a double, five RBI and two runs. Thomas Verslues was 2-for-4 with two RBI and two runs. Jordan Hair was 2-for-4 with an RBI and two runs. Austin Herigon had a hit and scored two runs, as did Frankie Falotico, who had an RBI as well.

Blair Oaks (15-5) hosts Eldon on Monday.
