I was dismayed to read that Sen. Munzlinger and Rep. Kelley are still wasting public time and money trying to cram allowing concealed carry onto Missouri colleges. I've pointed out the massive hypocrisy of doing this when only legislators and their staff are allowed to carry concealed weapons in the Capitol.
So, rather than ride that horse again I will instead encourage each and every member of ConcernedStudent1950 to apply for CCW permits if they don't already have them.
After all, I'm sure these wise legislators will argue that the campuses will only be more safe when these folks, their opponents, sundry outsiders wandering the grounds and buildings, etc. are packing heat in the midst of emotional confrontations and faculty, security and police will not have the ability to assume that anyone armed is acting improperly and act accordingly.
