ST. CHARLES -The Jefferson City Jays had 10 wrestlers advance to the semifinals Friday of the Kyle Thrasher Memorial Tournament hosted by Francis Howell.
Peter Kuster at 120 pounds, Christian Mayberry at 126, Tanner Irwin at 132, Zack Hurley at 138, Gavin DeWitt at 145, Jacob Brune at 160, Logan Moriarity (1-0) at 170, Rashaun Woods at 182, Jalen Martin at 195 (1-0) and Mekhi Burnley at 285 all advanced to today's semifinal round in their respective weights.
Moriarity and Martin were both 1-0, while the other eight Jays were 2-0.
Jefferson City leads the 27-team field with 130 points. Lafayette is second with 121, while Francis Howell is third with 101.
The tournament will conclude today.
