Second suspect arrested in connection with January JC Robbery

Another arrest has been made in connection with a January robbery in Jefferson City.

According to police reports, the robbery occurred in the 300 block of East Ashley Street.

Three suspects confronted a female victim by pointing a handgun at her and stealing her book bag. The victim's brother attempted to defend her, but was assaulted by the suspects in the process.

One suspect, Quency Floyd, an 18 year-old Jefferson City male, was taken into custody on January 14th and taken to jail for first-degree robbery. The other two suspects remained at large.

Detectives continued to investigate and were able to develop a second suspect, Orlando Strickland, a 17 year-old Jefferson City male. He was arrested by members of JCPD's Community Action Team on Thursday night at his residence. He was transported to the Cole County Jail after an interview with detectives, where he is currently held on a $75,000 bond and is charged with first-degree robbery and armed criminal action.

Police are still seeking the third suspect, as yet unidentified, in this case.
