Downtown Jefferson City's newest commercial resident, TNC's Trading Post, opened earlier this month at 120 E. High St., offering biker and western leather apparel and accessories.

"We've been wanting to start our own business and just tried to think about what Jeff City didn't have," said Cindy Andrews, who owns TNC's Trading Post with Thom Nichols. "We have jackets, vests, chaps, hats, belts, jewelry, hair accessories purses and some kids' as well."

Nichols, a military veteran himself, also started a "veterans' honor wall" inside the store, where they hang photos of active-duty military or veteran customers, who also qualify for a 10 percent discount on merchandise with ID.

TNC's Trading Post is open from 9 a.m.-6 p.m. Mondays through Saturdays and is closed on Sundays.
