The new year is starting with a zany comedy by Scene One Theatre titled "Wonder of the World" by David Lindsay-Abaire.
Directed by Mary Jo LaCorte, this is a story of two women who are having marital troubles and meet on a bus to Niagara Falls.
One woman, Cass, played by Rachel Steinmeyer, is leaving her husband. She meets Lois, played by Megan Sappington, on the bus. Lois is planning to go over the falls in a barrel to end it all because her husband abandoned her.
The supporting cast members include: Chris Kennison, who plays Capt. Mike; Terry Schoonover and Melle Richardson, play husband and wife private detectives hired to find Cass; Kip, played by Doug Richardson, is Cass' husband; and Gabe Wittenberger plays five different characters in the show.
"This is the story of women who have similar problems with the men in their lives and they give each other help and support in often hilarious ways," LaCorte said. "It is humor recommended for adults."
