Boys Basketball: Jays take sixth at Joplin

JOPLIN, Mo. - The Jefferson City Jays dropped a 73-52 decision to Webb City on Saturday in the fifth-place game of the Kaminsky Classic.

The Jays led 16-15 after one quarter, but the Cardinals came back to lead 36-29 at halftime.

Webb City outscored Jefferson City 18-7 in the third quarter to take a 54-36 lead into the final period.

Kamari Balton had 12 points to pace Jefferson City, while Chuck Cooper had 11.

The Jays return to action Monday when they travel to Waynesville.
