This comedy by Steven Dietz about the midlife crisis of an ordinary woman is the latest production by Capital City Players.

"Becky's New Car," is the story of Becky Foster, who is married to a man she truly loves. She works at a car dealership and meets a wealthy man who is buying a new car for each of his employees. Through a misunderstanding, the gentleman believes she is a widow. As hard as she tries to convince him that this isn't true, he won't leave her alone.

She decides to have dinner with the gentleman, and the ensuing situations result in a hilarious comedy that shows sensitive sides as well.

"It has been a fun ride with a phenomenal cast," director Kathleen Lavery said.

Lavery serves as director and set designer. Lighting is provided by Ken Thompson.

"This is a simple set and has simple tech effects," Lavery said.

Shellie Howser portrays Becky. The remaining cast, which is a mixture of newcomers to Capital City Players and veterans of various theatre groups, includes Barry Beach, Ed Hanson, James Packard, Jordyn Mercer, EC Waker and Laura Vedenhaupt.

"This is the story of a woman who is experiencing life at the moment and also exploring new horizons," Lavery said.
