Most federal, Missouri state and Cole County government offices will be closed Monday in observance of President's Day, including the State Archives in Jefferson City at 600 W. Main St.
Exceptions include legislative offices, emergency services and law enforcement.
Holts Summit's city government also will be closed.
The U.S. Postal Service will operate on a holiday schedule, with no regular mail deliveries or collections. Express Mail will be delivered Monday as required.
Some businesses and most financial institutions will be closed.
The Missouri River Regional Library locations in Jefferson City and Linn, and the Heartland Regional Library locations in Miller and Maries counties, will be closed.
However, the Daniel Boone Library System in Boone and Callaway counties will remain open on the regular schedule.
Jefferson City government offices also will be open as usual.
Some area schools, including the Jefferson City Public Schools, will be closed - but other schools will be open.
Allied Waste will collect trash, garbage and recycling as usual on Monday.
