Boys Basketball: Linn 59, St. Elizabeth 40

LINN, Mo. - After allowing 16 points in the first quarter of Thursday's game against St. Elizabeth, the Linn Wildcats stepped up their defense the rest of the way to win 59-40.

Linn led 22-16 after the first quarter and outscored St. Elizabeth 10-2 in the second quarter to lead 32-18 at halftime. Linn extended its lead to 49-27 heading into the fourth quarter.

Ryan Deeken led Linn with 15 points. Alex Strope chipped in 12.

Mason Kemna led St. Elizabeth with 14 points.

Linn won the two-quarter JV game 28-18.

Linn (15-6) hosts Chamois today.

St. Elizabeth will play Thursday at New Bloomfield.
