STORRS, Conn. (AP) - Kia Nurse scored a season-high 20 points as top-ranked UConn routed East Carolina 92-46 on Saturday in the Huskies final tuneup before a showdown with No. 2 South Carolina.
Breanna Stewart had added 17 points and 10 rebounds for UConn (22-0, 12-0 American Athletic), which will head to Columbia on Monday with a 59-game winning streak, the third longest in team and NCAA history.
Moriah Jefferson chipped in with 16 points and dished out eight assists.
Jada Payne had 15points and I'Tiana Taylor scored 12 to lead East Carolina (9-14, 3-8 American), which has lost four straight.
UConn never trailed. They scored the game's first 14 points, led 52-23 at halftime and ended the third quarter on a 19-4 run to lead 80-35 after 30 minutes.
No. 4 BAYLOR 81, KANSAS 49
WACO, Texas (AP) - Kalani Brown scored 18 points, fellow freshman Beatrice Mompremier had 14 points and 12 rebounds and Baylor won its 10th consecutive Big 12 game, over.
The Lady Bears (23-1, 10-1 Big 12) never trailed after scoring the game's first eight points, and led by at least double figures the rest of the game after Brown's layup with just over 8 minutes left in the second quarter.
Alexis Prince scored 14 points in 24 minutes. It was her most extensive action in nine games since returning from arthroscopic surgery in November for torn meniscus in her right knee. Nina Davis added 11 points.
Kylee Kopatich had 14 points to lead Kansas (5-18, 0-12).
No. 6 TEXAS 65, IOWA STATE 49
AMES, Iowa (AP) - Ariel Atkins scored a career-high 22 points with 11 rebounds and Texas beat Iowa State to improve to 9-0 on the road.
Empress Davenport added 13 for the Longhorns (21-1, 10-1 Big 12), who won in Ames for the first time since 2009.
Texas used a 21-9 run midway through the second half to push past the Cyclones (12-10, 4-7), who've lost six of seven. But starting guard Brianna Taylor left the game in the third quarter with what appeared to be a left ankle injury.
Jadda Buckley had 19 points to lead Iowa State, which was outrebounded 20-5 on the offensive glass.
TEMPLE 68, No. 19 SOUTH FLORIDA 66
PHILADELPHIA (AP) - Erica Covile had 15 points and 10 rebounds, including the game-winning putback with one second left, and Temple upset South Florida to move past the Bulls into second place in the American Athletic Conference.
Feyonda Fitzgerald's step-back jumper behind the foul line rolled off the right side of the rim and Covile was there for the winner for the Owls, who had 12 of their 19 offensive rebounds in the second half.
Tanaya Atkinson led Temple (15-7, 9-2), which won its fourth straight, with 17 points. Fitzgerald had 13 and Alliya Butts 12.
Courtney Williams had 22 points and 10 rebounds for South Florida (16-6, 9-3), who couldn't get off a last-second shot. Kitija Laksa added 15 points. The Bulls had won four straight.
No. 20 OKLAHOMA 77, TCU 64
NORMAN, Okla. (AP) - Vionise Pierre-Louis had 11 of her 14 points in the fourth quarter and Oklahoma pulled away from TCU.
Kaylon Williams and Gioya Carter led the Sooners (15-6, 6-4 Big 12) with 15 points.
Jordan Moore's 3-point play with 8:04 remaining gave TCU a 55-52 lead but the Horned Frogs had five turnovers and two misses in their next six possessions and the Sooners ran off 10 straight points. Pierre-Louis started the run at 7:32 and ended it at 4:28.
Moore had another 3-point play at 3:56 but Gioya Carter answered with a jumper and Pierre-Louis followed with a 3-point play, making it 67-58 with 2:32 to go. After Jada Butts had a 3-pointer for the Horned Frogs at 2:10, the Sooners made all eight free throws in the final two minutes.
Butts' 16 points led TCU (12-9, 4-6), which has lost five times to ranked teams in the last nine games, including Oklahoma twice.
