New concert venue planned on Delmar Loop

UNIVERSITY CITY, Mo. (AP) - The Delmar Loop in suburban St. Louis is getting another new attraction, with plans for a concert venue expected to open this fall.

The St. Louis Post-Dispatch (http://bit.ly/23KZcQs) reports that Patrick Hagin and Joe Edwards are developing Delmar Hall next to another concert venue, the Pageant, which they opened in 2000. Delmar Hall will have capacity for 800 people and is expected to cost $2.5 million.

Edwards says the medium-sized venue will fill a gap between the Duck Room at Blueberry Hill, which has a capacity of 350, and the 2,000-plus capacity at the Pageant. Edwards also owns Blueberry Hill.

The Delmar Loop is a popular area along the St. Louis and University City border, featuring music, restaurants and night spots.
