Games played on Feb. 5, 2016

COLLEGE PARK, Md. (AP) - Shatori Walker-Kimbrough scored 30 points, Brionna Jones had 17 points and 17 rebounds, and No. 5 Maryland defeated No. 17 Michigan State 85-76 Friday night for its ninth straight victory.

Coming off a 41-point performance at Purdue, Walker-Kimbrough came up with a satisfying encore. The 5-foot-11 junior guard went 9 for 16 from the floor, 3 for 3 from beyond the arc and made all nine of her foul shots.

Though Walker-Kimbrough's effort at Purdue was one point short of the school record, her 71 points is the most ever by a Maryland women's player over two successive games.

The Terrapins (21-2, 10-1 Big Ten) never trailed in moving into a tie atop the conference standings with Ohio State.

NO. 8 ARIZONA STATE 65, NO. 14 UCLA 61

TEMPE, Ariz. (AP) - Katie Hempen became Arizona State's career leader in 3-pointers made and her 20 points helped the Sun Devils recover from blowing a big lead to beat UCLA.

Hempen hit consecutive 3s late in the third quarter. The first broke Kylan Loney's career mark of 161 and the second put the Sun Devils ahead to stay.

The Sun Devils (19-4, 10-1 Pac 12) led by 17 in the second quarter.

Jordin Canada scored 16 points for the Bruins (16-6, 8-3).

NO. 9 OREGON STATE 61, NO. 24 WASHINGTON 53

SEATTLE (AP) - Senior Jamie Weisner scored 21 points to lead Oregon State to its ninth straight win.

Sydney Weise added 12 points and Ruth Hamblin grabbed nine rebounds and blocked three shots for Oregon State (19-3, 10-1 Pac 12), which hasn't lost since Jan. 4 at UCLA.

Washington (16-6, 7-4) wasn't able to overcome a 14-point halftime deficit and lost its third home game of the season - all against ranked opponents.

The conference's leading scorer, Kelsey Plum, recovered from a tough first half. The Washington guard finished with 30 points on 10-of-22 shooting.

NO. 15 STANFORD 60, CALIFORNIA 55

BERKELEY, Calif. (AP) - Erica McCall led a balanced attack with 14 points and 10 rebounds and Stanford defeated rival California for the second time this week.

Brittany McPhee had 12 points, Kaylee Johnson had 11 and Lili Thompson and Kailee Johnson had 10 apiece for the Cardinal (19-5, 9-3 Pac-12), who outscored the Golden Bears 15-4 in the third period.

Cal (11-12, 2-10) led 34-27 at the half. Courtney Range had 25 points for Cal.

This story has been corrected to show in Oregon State-Washington item that Weisner scored 21 points, not 20.
