No Missouri players selected yet in NFL draft

No Missouri Tigers were selected in the first three rounds of the NFL Draft, held Thursday and Friday in Chicago.

It was the first time since 2008 a Missouri player was not selected before the fourth round. Wide receiver William Franklin was the first Missouri player selected that year, being selected by the Chiefs as the sixth pick of the fourth round (105 overall).

Six former Missouri players were drafted in 2015, including Shane Ray 23rd overall.

Missouri linebacker Kentrell Brothers and offensive linemen Evan Boehm and Connor McGovern will likely be selected today, when rounds four through seven are held.

NFL.com lists McGovern as the fifth-best offensive lineman remaining and Boehm as the 11th. McGovern is ranked fourth among remaining guards and Boehm second among remaining centers. Brothers is listed as the third-best remaining linebacker and second-best outside linebacker, although many project him as an inside linebacker in the NFL.

The fourth round begins today at 11 a.m. on ESPN and NFL Network.
