Holts Summit woman gets 10 years in prison

A Holts Summit woman has been sentenced to 10 years in prison for pleading guilty to charges in connection with a drug bust that occurred in October 2013.

Cole County court documents show Haley Johnson, 26, was charged with one count of selling heroin, one count of possession of heroin and one count of possession of hydrocodone.

Police caught Johnson packaging heroin for sale while living in the 1400 block of East Miller Street in Jefferson City.

Johnson admitted selling heroin to support her own addiction.

She said she got it from a source in St. Louis.
