HUTCHINSON, Kan. — Missouri State freshman Kory Franks finished 24th Tuesday at the Missouri Valley Conference Men’s Golf Championship.
Franks (Blair Oaks High School) shot a 230 to finish fourth among the Bears golfers.
Missouri State shot a 298 and a 291 in the first two rounds but fell back Tuesday with a combined score of 309, finishing with a total of 898 to come in fourth.
Southern Illinois was the overall winner with a score of 877. Wichita State took second (887) and Illinois State was third (889). Illinois State’s Trent Wallace shot a 211 to lead the 45-man field.
