Lindenwood pounds Lincoln in baseball, 21-0

ST. CHARLES — The Lincoln baseball team committed five errors and was outhit 19-2 in a 21-0 loss shortened to seven innings Tuesday against Lindenwood.

Nick Lovell’s leadoff single in the first and Mike Million’s single in the fourth were Lincoln’s only hits.

Brendan Kleekamp (5-4) was the winning pitcher, striking out seven in four innings. He allowed two hits and walked one.

Daniel Castillo (0-3) took the loss, allowing seven runs on six hits and three walks while striking out one in 12/3 innings.

Cameron Massman, Dylan Wood and Kyler Lundgrin each made a relief appearance.

Massman gave up six runs on seven hits and two walks while striking out one in 32/3 innings. Wood lasted 11/3 innings, allowing seven runs (two earned) on four hits and three walks. Lundgrin surrendered one run on two hits with a strikeout in one-third of an inning.

Lincoln is 2-41 overall and 1-32 in the Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association. Lindenwood is 20-24 overall and 14-19 in the MIAA.

Lincoln starts a three-game series Friday at Missouri Southern.
