Girls Soccer: Lady Jays 4, Washington 1

WASHINGTON, Mo. — The Jefferson City Lady Jays scored three times in the second half Saturday to post a 4-1 win against Washington.

Mackenzie Lochhead scored in the first half for the Lady Jays, assisted by Katie Tambke, as the game went into intermission tied at 1.

Tayler LePage, Morgan Jordan and Taylor Burkhead tallied goals in the second half for Jefferson City. Tambke had two more assists while Lochhead picked up one assist.

Jefferson City (12-3) will host Sedalia Smith-Cotton on Tuesday. The JV game will start at 5 p.m., with the varsity contest to begin around 6:45 p.m.

In Saturday’s JV game, Jefferson City dropped a 2-1 decision to Washington.
