Prep Baseball: Vienna 5, Steelville 4

VIENNA, Mo. — The Vienna Eagles made the most of their five hits Friday, beating Steelville 5-4.

Taner Helton had two of those hits, and Dakota Hollis, Ethan Bull and McCrae Fuller each had one. Helton scored a run. Gavin Stricklan tied the game with an RBI groundout in the sixth inning, and Derek Kleffner put the Eagles ahead for good with a pinch-hit sacrifice fly.

Fuller started the game on the mound, throwing 41/3 innings and allowing six hits and four runs with five strikeouts.

Braeden Patton picked up the win, pitching 12/3 innings and allowing two hits. Logan Agan picked up a save, allowing one walk and striking out one in the seventh inning.

Vienna (10-6, 3-0 Gasconade Valley Conference) plays Monday at Bourbon.
