Baseball: Jays frosh, sophs win

The Jefferson City freshman and sophomore teams swept Rock Bridge on Thursday at Vivion Field, winning 3-2 in five innings and 7-0 in six innings, respectively.

Sophomore Michael Skinner pitched a complete game, only allowing two hits.

The sophomores totaled seven hits.

Freshman Eli Bernskoetter earned the win with four innings on the mound.

Blake Terry closed out the freshman game.

The freshman team totaled five hits.

The teams have a combined record of 15-5 and open play in the Blair Oaks Tournament at 5:30 p.m. today against Fatima.
