Jefferson City man gets probation in child porn case

A Jefferson City man was placed on five years supervised probation after pleading guilty to an amended charge in a child pornography case.

Fikri Djulpiqor, 23, of 3807 Candlelight Drive, pleaded guilty to a charge of possession of child pornography.

A charge of first-degree promotion of child pornography was dismissed.

Court documents show the crimes are believed to have occurred between Sept. 19, 2015, through January of this year.

Members of the Boone County Sheriff’s Department Cyber Crimes Task Force, who work with other area law enforcement departments including Jefferson City police and the Cole County Sheriff’s Department, filed a probable cause statement in this case.

In late November, the cyber crime task force received a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, which received a Twitter complaint in October regarding an account holder who had uploaded multiple images believed to be child pornography.

A phone number and email address associated with the creation of this account were found, and investigators said there were several hundred images depicting apparent minor and prepubescent males posing in a lewd and lascivious manner.

Court-ordered search warrants allowed law enforcement to go to Djulpiqor’s address. Djulpiqor admitted to being the owner of the Twitter account in question, and he said he knowingly shared images of males as young as 5 years old with other Twitter users.

Investigators also learned Djulpiqor was illegally in the United States.
