Two hurt in motorcycle crash

A Jefferson City man and a juvenile from Jefferson City were treated for injuries after a motorcycle accident Tuesday afternoon.

According to police reports, the accident was reported at 4:27 p.m. in the 3700 block of West Truman Boulevard.

The investigation revealed a 2007 Harley Davidson driven by David Reames, 46, was traveling southbound on West Truman and was attempting to slow for traffic when he lost control of his motorcycle. The motorcycle fell onto the left side and started to skid into the turn lane. Reames and his juvenile passenger were both ejected from the motorcycle. Both were transported to a local hospital for treatment of their injuries.

Reames was not wearing an approved helmet, but his passenger was.
