Trowbridge claims crown at Helias Golf Invitational

NEW BLOOMFIELD — Gabe Trowbridge of Jefferson City shot a 74 on Monday to capture medalist honors in the Helias Invitational at Meadow Lake Acres Country Club.

Trowbridge finished two shots ahead of Hudson Dubinski of Rock Bridge.

Rock Bridge took large-school team honors with a 310. Hannibal was second with a 312, followed by Jefferson City with a 326 and Helias at 327.

Kent Uhlmann added an 82 for the Jays. Nathan Erickson totaled an 84, while Austin Siebeneck finished with an 86.

Jack Rundle led Helias, tying for sixth with a 78. Cole Higgins added a 79 for the Crusaders, while Dalton Roark had an 83 and Nick Alexander finished with an 87.

Walker Kesterson of Southern Boone was the small-school medalist with a 2-under-par 70.

Southern Boone finished second as a team with a 327. Sullivan took team honors with a 315.

Tanner Elder was second in the small-school division with a 76, while Kyle Backes of the Falcons tied for ninth with an 80.

The Falcons finished third as a team with a 328. Jake VanRonzlen had an 82 for Blair Oaks, while Brayden Pemberton finished with a 90.

Linn was eighth as a team with a 441. Wildcat scores included Cade Pinkerton at 104, Jimmy McCuskeyat 107, Kole Peters at 112 and Ethan Russell at 118.

New Bloomfield had three players in the event. Gannon Withers carded an 85, while Jacob Brown had a 122 and Klayten Kempker finished with a 131.
