COMMERCE CITY, Colo. (AP) — Dominique Badji scored his first goal of the season in the 82nd minute to help the Colorado Rapids beat the New York Red Bulls 2-1 on a snow-covered field Saturday night.

Jermaine Jones won the ball in the New York end and Luis Solignac fed Badji, who rolled the ball across goalkeeper Luis Robles just inside the right post.

The start was delayed and halftime was extended to plow the field. Stoppage time was increased to six minutes so the lines could be shoveled and an orange ball was used.

Ronand Zubar knocked in a header in the 60th minute to end the Red Bulls' scoreless streak of more than 4 1/2 matches. Zubar's first goal, on a cross from Sacha Kljestan, was the first goal for the Red Bulls (1-6-0) on the road this season and the first at home allowed by the Rapids (4-2-1).

New York had been shut out in four straight games and five times this season. The Red Bulls hadn't scored since a 4-3 victory over Houston in their third game on March 19, getting the final goal in the 83rd minute.

Jones scored 21 minutes into his Colorado debut, rolling the ball in after a cross out of traffic from the goal line by Mekeil Williams.

SOUNDERS 2, UNION 1

SEATTLE (AP) — Chad Marshall headed in a corner kick late in the first half and hometown rookie Jordan Morris scored his first career goal to help Seattle beat Philadelphia.

Seattle (2-3-1) is 2-0-1 in its last three games after losing its first three.

Marshall's second goal in two games came in the 41st minute. Andreas Ivanschitz floated a corner kick from the right side across the 6-yard box. Marshall, playing on the top left side of the 6, headed it in.

Morris, from Mercer Island just across Lake Washington from Seattle, made it 2-0 in the 71st minute.

Philadelphia (3-3-0), playing with 10 men after Roland Alberg was sent off in in the 53rd minute with his second yellow card of the night, cut it to 2-1 on Sebastien LeToux's goal in the 73rd minute.

CREW 3, NEW YORK CITY FC 2

COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) — Justin Meram had a goal and two assists and Columbus beat New York City for its first victory of the season.

Meram's second goal of the season came when he drove home a centering pass from Ethan Finlay in the 80th minute.

Meram had helpers on Finlay's first goal in the seventh minute and Kei Kamara's second in the 49th minute that gave the Crew (1-3-2) a 2-1 lead. Kamara had seven shots, but only the last one was on goal. Columbus had 15 shots, but only three on target.

David Villa tied it for New York City in the 18th minute when he headed a high cross from Andoni Iroala and added his fourth of the season on a penalty kick in the 87th minute.

NYC dropped to 1-2-3.

REAL SALT LAKE 1, WHITECAPS 0

SANDY, Utah (AP) — Goal-producing Joao Plata set up Manuel Martinez for his first goal and Real Salt Lake beat Vancouver.

Plata has scored or assisted on eight of Salt Lake's 10 goals this season. He sliced through the Whitecaps' defense before rolling the ball to Martinez on his left. Martinez stopped it, crossed defender Kendall Watson and steered it past diving goalkeeper David Ousted.

Plata has four goals and four assists.

Nick Rimando made four saves for Salt Lake (4-0-2) in his second shutout.

Vancouver dropped to 2-4-1.

TIMBERS 3, EARTHQUAKES 1

PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) — Fanendo Adi scored two second-half goals in Portland's victory over San Jose.

Jack McInerney also scored to help Portland (2-3-2) end a five-game winless streak.

Chris Wondolowski scored for San Jose (3-2-2).

Portland, already missing Darlington Nagbe and Liam Ridgewell to injuries, and Dairon Asprilla only healthy enough for a spot on the bench, lost two more players to injury. Goalkeeper Adam Kwarasey left in the 50th minute with a hand injury, and midfielder Darren Mattocks was substituted in the 63rd minute with an apparent head injury after a collision with San Jose defender Victo Bernardez.

IMPACT 2, FIRE 1

BRIDGEVIEW, Ill. (AP) — Ignacio Piatti scored from just outside the box in the first minute of stoppage time to lift Montreal past Chicago.

Piatti took a pass from Dominic Oduro near the top left corner of the box and bent a perfectly placed ball just inside the top right corner of the goal.

Piatti's fourth goal of the season was nearly identical to the goal from Kennedy Ogboananike that gave Chicago (1-2-3) a 1-0 lead in the 29th minute. Igboananike gathered Gilberto's pass just inside the top left corner of the box. He turned and placed the ball into the top-right corner as well for his third goal.

The Impact (4-2-0) tied it in the 56th minute when Diedier Drogba, who entered six minutes earlier, back-footed a cross from Oduro. Oduro had stolen the ball after a week kick from Fire keeper Matt Lampson. It was Drogba's first goal.

TORONTO FC 1, DC UNITED 0

WASHINGTON (AP) — Sebastian Giovinco's goal in the first minute stood up in Toronto's victory over DC United.

Jozy Altidore got to the ball inside the box to the right of goalkeeper Travis Worra and rolled a cross that a sliding Marco Delgado reached and redirected a bit to his left and Giovinco was on the spot to tap it in for his fourth goal of the season.

That was enough for Toronto (2-2-2) to end a three-match winless streak as goalkeeper Clint Irwin made three saves. The toughest save came in the 30th minute when he got a hand on a tight shot by Patrick Nyarko out of traffic in front of the net.

DC United dropped to 1-3-3.
