Missouri couple accused in 13-month-old son's death

GALENA, Mo. (AP) - A southwestern Missouri couple are accused of recklessly causing the death of their 13-month-old son who authorities say weighed 10 pounds.

Stone County prosecutors have charged 38-year-old Joshua Jackson and 32-year-old Bambi Jackson of Reeds Spring with first-degree involuntary manslaughter, child endangerment and child abuse.

Authorities say the couple didn't feed their child, identified in court documents only as "J.J.," enough food and water. A pathologist attributed the boy's January death to low blood pressure due to dehydration.

Online court records don't show whether either Jackson has an attorney.
