Prep Volleyball: Lady Jays JV takes second

WAYNESVILLE - The Jefferson City Lady Jays took second with a 5-1 record Saturday in the Waynesville JV Tournament.

The Lady Jays finished 4-0 in pool play.

• A 25-18, 25-21 against Sullivan. Madison Creach had 15 service points, including four aces, while Samantha Murray totaled three blocks.

• A 25-12, 25-14 against Licking. Tori LePage had eight service points, while Stephanie Fisher had seven points, including four aces.

• A 25-17, 25-10 victory against St. James. Emma Gretlein had 12 serves for points, including two aces. Veronica Allison had six service points with three aces.

• A 25-15, 25-14 win against Waynesville. Stephanie Fisher led with six kills.

In tournament play, Jefferson City defeated Sullivan 25-12, 25-21. Allison totaled 18 assists, while Fisher had 11 kills and LePage had eight kills.

Jefferson City then dropped a 13-25, 23-25 decision to Fatima. Gretlein and Lepage had seven service points each, while Fisher totaled 11 kills.
