Eldon man arrested for DWI, 5 injured in accidents

An Eldon man was arrested following a three-vehicle accident Monday night in Miller County.

Andrew Schuler, 31, was arrested for DWI, careless and imprudent driving resulting in an accident, failure to wear approved headgear while driving a motorcycle and no insurance.

Missouri Highway Patrol reports show the accident occurred at 7:15 p.m. at Horseshoe Bend Parkway, just west of Palisades Condo Road.

Schuler crossed into the oncoming path of a vehicle driven by Thomas Dettmer, 48, of Osage Beach, striking the rear passenger side of Dettmer's vehicle.

Schuler's vehicle overturned, sliding into the path of a vehicle driven by Lucas Oliver, 34, of Iberia.

Schuler was thrown off his motorcycle and was treated for minor injuries. Dettmer and Oliver had no reported injuries.

A Fulton man was injured in a one-vehicle accident at 6:25 p.m. Monday on U.S. 54 at Middle River in Callaway County.

According to the Patrol, a 2004 Chevrolet Silverado, driven eastbound by Willet J. Falcon, 20, traveled off the right side of the road after experiencing a flat tire. The vehicle struck a post and overturned.

Falcon was taken to University Hospital. He was wearing a seat belt.

A Freeburg teen was injured in a two-vehicle accident at 7:30 p.m. Monday on U.S. 63 at County Road 521 in Osage County.

The Patrol reported a 1996 Chevrolet 1500, driven southbound by Timothy A. Bocklage, 45, of Freeburg, slowed to make a right turn and was struck in the rear by a 2007 KIA Rio, driven southbound by Dylan J. Drennan, 19, of Freeburg.

Drennan, who was not wearing a seat belt, was taken to University Hospital, Columbia. Bocklage was wearing a seat belt.

A California, Mo., woman was treated for serious injuries after a one-vehicle accident Monday in Moniteau County.

Patrol reports show the accident occurred on Route CC, just south of Hill Valley Road, around 5:30 p.m. Rebecca Lueckenotte, 46, went off the left side of the road before striking an embankment, fence and a tree.

She did have a seat belt on at the time, but it was improperly secured as a lap belt only.
