FULTON - The Jefferson City Lady Jays advanced two players to the Class 2 sectional tournament by virtue of their finishes Monday in the Class 2 District 4 Tournament at Tanglewood Golf Club.
Blair Michael of Jefferson City tied for 17th with a 91, while teammate Ellie Severance was 21st with a 94. The duo will attempt to advance to state next Monday at Wolf Hollow Golf Club in Labadie.
Jefferson City finished seventh as a team Monday with a 394. Samantha Swinford of the Lady Jays tied for 24th with a 98, while Christa Kielsing tied for 40th with a 111 and Maggie Noble tied for 46th with a 116.
Rock Bridge was the district team champion, carding a 340. Hickman claimed the other sectional team spot by taking second with a 348.
Julia Bower of Rock Bridge was the medalist with a 75.
