An evening of dining, entertainment and fund-raising auctions will highlight the annual Forget Me Not Gala on Nov. 6.
Benefiting the Central Missouri Foster Care and Adoption Association, the evening's activities at the Capitol Plaza Hotel will start at 6 p.m. with live entertainment, a silent auction and social hour, followed by dinner, program and live auction. More than 100 unique and creative items will be offered in the two auctions, with proceeds going to support programs for the nonprofit Central Missouri Foster Care and Adoption Association.
This year's Gala chairpersons are Larry Lambert and Heidi Lucas. The masters of ceremonies will be Lambert.
This is the seventh year the Central Missouri Foster Care and Adoption Association has sponsored such a fund-raising event. Since 2009, CMFCAA has served more than 600 foster families and 1,400 foster children throughout central Missouri and many adoptive families.
Agency programs include "Begin-Again Backpacks" for children entering foster care, "Transitions" for high school seniors and youth between the ages of 14-17, "Parent Training Services" for foster and adoptive parents, and the "Boys and Girls Clothing Closets" for foster and adoptive youth. CMFCAA also provides parent training services, support group services for domestic and international adoptive families and youth, sponsors respite events for member families, and offers a variety of advocacy assistance services through our Resource Center on Swifts Highway in Jefferson City.
Tickets are $40 per person or $70 per couple. Event tickets can be purchased online at www.ccfosteradopt.com or by calling 573-298-0258. Businesses can provide extra support with corporate sponsorships, available from $100 to $3,000 with tax credits available at a certain sponsorship level.
