Fire damages Fulton residence

Fire severely damaged a Fulton home early this morning.

The Fulton Fire Department responded around 12:55 a.m. to fight the blaze in a single-story residential structure at 720 Grand Ave.

Upon arrival, firefighters discovered smoke and flames were visible. Crews found fire in multiple rooms.

The fire was brought under control in approximately 30 minutes. The occupants were not home at the time of the fire.

The city fire and police departments and the state fire marshal's office determined the fire was accidental with the cause being electrical.

Damages were estimated at $40,000.
