Gunshots killed 2 men found on outskirts of Columbia

COLUMBIA, Mo. (AP) - Authorities say that two men whose bodies were found on the outskirts of Columbia died from gunshot wounds.

The Columbia Daily Tribune (http://bit.ly/1iM22lm) reports that autopsies were performed Monday on 41-year-old James W. Richardson, of Columbia, and 42-year-old Kenneth B. Long, of Mexico. Richardson's body was found near the entrance of the now-closed El Ray Mobile Home Park at 8:45 a.m. Saturday.

A K-9 unit brought to the scene led deputies to Long's body in a field that previously housed the mobile home park, which closed about five years ago.

Boone County Sheriff's department Detective Tom O'Sullivan has said the department is working to determine what happened to the men. Anyone with information is urged to come forward.
