ELDON, Mo. - The Blair Oaks Lady Falcons beat Eldon 11-1 Thursday night to set up tonight's matchup with Fatima.
Blair Oaks starting pitcher Payton Staggs pitched four innings of one-hit softball while striking out five and walking two. Staggs also drove in three runs along with two hits at the plate.
Macyn Wilbers went 4-for-4 at the plate with two RBI. Carli Buschjost had three doubles and plated two. Hannah Schroeder went 2-for-2, one being a two-run home run.
Makenna Kliethermes pitched the final three innings in relief with two strikeouts and no hits allowed for the Lady Falcons.
Blair Oaks (3-0) is at Fatima (4-2) at 4:30 p.m. today.
The Lady Falcons junior varsity squad took out Eldon 17-3 in three innings.
Brooke Boessen totalled six RBI, including a grand slam. Meredith Eisterhold was the winning pitcher.
