Helias extends undefeated streak in volleyball

ST. CHARLES, Mo. - The Helias Lady Crusaders tripped up Duchesne Thursday night to stay perfect on the season and extend its program winning streak to 50 games.

The Lady Crusaders (6-0) won by the scores of 25-21, 22-25, 25-16. Duchesne is 2-2.

Ellie Rockers (11) and Hannah Borchelt (8) led the Lady Crusaders in the kills category. Ashley Dudenhoeffer dished out 33 assists and had 19 digs.

Helias' Blake Verhorst recorded 27 digs and nine service points. Hannah Eynard had 12 service points and Clarissa Fenessy picked up 11 digs.

Helias won the junior varsity match by the scores of 25-10 and 25-7. In the kills category, Callie Henson tallied seven and Regan Bruns had six. Bradi Verhost had 15 service points and five digs. Alyssa Sullivan claimed 11 assists, while Ami Henson chipped in eight.

The JV team also has a 6-0 record.

Helias plays next in the Notre Dame Volleyballfest in Cape Girardeau this weekend.
