The Jefferson City Lady Jays blanked Battle with a 9-0 win Thursday at Washington Park.
The Lady Jays' Athira Nambiar posted a 6-4, 4-6, 10-8 win. Erica Dunn came back after losing the first game to salvage a 3-6, 6-2, 10-8 victory. Esther Ruboneka blanked her opponent with scores of 6-4 and 6-0. Susan Meyer did the same with a 6-1 and 6-0 victory. Bailey Patrick won by the scores of 6-0 and 6-1. Haley Watson had no problem as she blanked her opponent twice by the score of 6-0.
In doubles action, Nambiar and Dunn teammed up for an 8-1 win, Ruboneka and Watson posted a 8-4 victory and Meyer and Patrick claimed an 8-1 win.
The Lady Jays (10-2) return to the court Sept. 9, when they host Rock Bridge.
