ST. LOUIS (AP) - A bluegrass band from Virginia is the latest band to be victimized by theft while stopping in St. Louis.
The St. Louis Post-Dispatch (http://bit.ly/1JBhU0a) reports that members of Love Canon were driving from Virginia to Denver for a gig and stopped for lunch Tuesday at a St. Louis restaurant. Their van was broken into. The instruments weren't taken, but stolen merchandise was valued at about $20,000.
It was the latest of several thefts from bands that were either playing in St. Louis or passing through. Love Canon tour manager Colin Perkinson says St. Louis is gaining a reputation among bands, and some may choose to avoid the city because of the aggressiveness of thieves.
