COLUMBIA, Mo. - Missouri basketball will host a "Halloween and Hoops" event today to kick off the men's and women's seasons.
Each team will hold its Black and Gold scrimmage, with the women's team beginning at 6:30 p.m. and the men's starting at 7:30.
Doors open at 5:30 p.m. and athletes will be available to sign autographs and pass out candy.
The teams will compete in a shooting contest in between scrimmages and the men's players will hold a dunk contest.
Judges will select a best-dressed student in attendance, who will shoot a half-court shot with the chance to win a year's tuition.
The women's team's first exhibition is set for Wednesday against Southwest Baptist. The men's team's plays an exhibition Nov. 6 against Missouri Western.
