BizBeat: Jefferson City Autoplex drafts new Honda dealership

Jefferson City Autoplex plans to relocate its Honda dealership to a new building to be constructured farther down Missouri Boulevard from its other dealerships.

The plan to build a new store at 3625 Missouri Blvd. has been in place since before RFJ Auto Partners bought the Honda, Nissan, Kia and Hyundai dealerships, when they operated as the Corwin Automotive Group, sale Sales Manager Nathan Hays said.

No timeline has been set for beginning construction on the new building or completion, Hays said, but he noted the plan has been to convert the current Honda store at 3219 Missouri Blvd. to Nissan once the new dealership is operational, as Nissan currently shares space with Hyundai.

Construction plans filed with Jefferson City's Planning & Protective Services Department show the planned building at 3625 Missouri Blvd. will be 51,451 square feet and two stories on an 11.52-acre parcel.
