Autopsy results awaited in Lake drowning

Investigators waiting for autopsy results in Friday's Lake of the Ozarks drowning.

Although the Missouri Highway Patrol's Water Division ruled that Mark E. Hoogeveen's death last week was an accidental drowning, officials are waiting for an autopsy to provide an official cause of death.

Hoogeveen, 54, of Gravois Mills, was found floating in the Lake of the Ozarks at 12:35 p.m. Friday, near the 6.2 mile marker of Indian Creek, in the lake's Gravois Arm.

The Patrol said Hoogeveen's body was taken to the Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home in Versailles.
