After a Helias punt, Rockhurst needed just two plays to take the lead. A 32-yard pass got the Hawklets into Crusader territory, then A.J. Taylor went 23 yards for the score on the next play. Jackson Terry booted the PAT and it was 7-3.

Helias then ran 10 plays before punting. But the Hawklets fumbled on the return and the Crusaders took over at the Rockhurst 11. Two plays later, Kaleb Davis scored on a 4-yard run and Heckart's PAT made it 14-10 with 2:47 left in the half.

Rockhurst then went 73 yards on 10 plays to push its lead to 21-10. Quarterback Chance May took it over from a yard out to account for the touchdown.
