Boys Soccer: Jays defeat Camdenton 5-1

CAMDENTON, Mo. - Erich Sporleder and Jordan Carron scored two goals each Thursday to lead Jefferson City in a 5-1 win against Camdenton.

Daunte Tillman also scored for the Jays (8-6-3), who will host the Art Firley Shootout today and Saturday at the 179 Soccer Park. Jefferson City will play Chaminade at 8 p.m. today and Oakville at 2 p.m. Saturday.

In the JV game, the Jays were 5-0 winners against the Lakers.

Max Allen had two goals for the Jays, while Jose Ayala, Brendan Drury and Chad Hamler had one each. Tanner Haugen totaled two assists, while Ayden Propst and Isaac Johnson had one each.

It was the ninth shutout of the season for the JV Jays (9-1).

The Jefferson City C team defeated Rock Bridge 2-1 on Tuesday. Ayala and Colton Juckette had a goal each in the win.
