St. Louis police: Rider killed in wreck of stolen car was 15

ST. LOUIS (AP) - St. Louis police have identified as a 15-year-old boy a passenger killed when a stolen car collided with another car, then slammed into a fire hydrant and a brick building.

Police said Wednesday that Tyrese Brown died at the scene of the Monday night wreck that also critically injured another passenger of the car Brown occupied.

Police say that car struck a vehicle driven by a woman in an intersection. She suffered minor injuries.

The medical statuses of two other occupants of the stolen car, including the driver, were not immediately known Wednesday.

Police say that car was reported taken in a carjacking roughly three hours before the crash, though it's unclear if any of the occupants at the time of the crash where involved in that theft.
