Missouri gives Pingeton 5-year contract through 2019-20

COLUMBIA, Mo. (AP) - Missouri women's basketball coach Robin Pingeton has agreed to a new five-year contract through the 2019-2020 season that includes a base salary of $300,000.

Pingeton is 79-79 in five seasons at the school and has led the Tigers to three straight winning seasons for the first time since 1987-90. Missouri has eight victories over Top 25 schools under Pingeton.

Missouri won 19 games last season, the most since 2005-06, and played in the quarterfinals of the WNIT. The school led the SEC in field goal percentage defense (35.1) and defensive rebounds per game (29).

In 20 seasons overall, Pingeton is 414-236 and has led teams to the postseason 13 times.
