ST. LOUIS (AP) - A St. Charles County teenager is dead after a fatal shooting in north St. Louis.
The St. Louis Post-Dispatch (http://bit.ly/1Vv8yJ6) reports that 19-year-old Sean Engle was found unconscious Thursday night after crashing a car. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police say Engle was shot in the face and the side in a dispute with a 24-year-old acquaintance. Engle tried to drive away before crashing.
A suspect is in custody following a brief chase. Officers say he tried to throw away a gun but police recovered it. Formal charges had not been filed as of midday Friday.
