ST. JAMES, Mo. - The Jefferson City Lady Jays improved to 2-0 on the season with a 67-46 defeat of Owensville on Saturday in the St. James Shootout.

Nicole Martin led Jefferson City with 26 points and eight rebounds. Megan Foster was in double digits as well, scoring 18 and picking up six assists, as was Anessa Glenn, who scored 10.

Shaina Anderson was all over the stat sheet, scoring nine points, dishing out eight assists and pulling in seven rebounds.

The Lady Jays scored 12 points in the first quarter, 16 in the second, 23 in the third and 16 in the fourth.

The Lady Jays look to stay undefeated under first-year coach Brad Conway on Monday at Rolla, where the freshman and junior varsity teams will also play.
